« Limbo is a visual journey shaped by departure, distance, and the weight of unanswered questions. When I left Gaza, I carried with me a few questions, a few traumas, and a heart full of dreams.

After years of traveling that once rooted me.This exhibition emerges from that state of in-between.

Limbo is the emotional landscape I lived inside: a place suspended between grief and hope, between memory and forgetting, between who I was and who I became. We often speak of the five stages of griefdenial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance defined by Elisabeth Kübler-Ross.

But as a Palestinian, grief becomes its own terrain, stretching beyond those familiar steps into a sixth, seventh, endless stage. A grief without closure, without finality. In these works, I search for truth, for answers, for a language to express the weight of what cannot be spoken.The body becomes my vocabulary. I play with limbs-stretching them, bending them, fragmenting them— attempting to translate the cracks, distortions, and tensions I felt within my own body during these years of distance. Fading forms, fractured movements, and distorted anatomies become metaphors for what it means to exist between worlds.Limbo is not a destination—it is a state of being. It is the silence between questions, the space between loss and becoming, the echo of things I wished to say but could not. These works are an invitation to enter that space with me, to witness the fading, the deforming, and the unspoken truths that define a life lived in between.
